Twins complete trade with Yankees to keep Rule 5 Draft pick, Jason Jones
The Twins traded Class A pitcher Charles Nolte to the Yankees on Saturday in exchange for the rights to Rule 5 Draft pick Jason Jones.
Following the trade, Jones was outrighted to Triple-A Rochester where he will be a part of the Red Wings starting rotation.
Jones went 2-0 with a 2.70 ERA in seven appearances for the Twins this spring. He allowed 11 hits while walking three and striking out five in 10 innings.
Nolte spent last season at Class A Beloit, where he was 4-3 with a 2.05 ERA in 44 relief appearances.
